We are currently seeking an Inside Sales Representative to join our team of professionals in the Hartford, CT area.

Key Responsibilities

As a critical and meaningful role within the Richelieu organization, the Inside Sales Representative is primarily responsible for inside sales development for a portion of our local sales region.  This person will primarily:

  • Seek out new business opportunities with customers via phone, placing orders as well as providing sales quotes 
  • Work closely with outside sales representatives with customer orders and quotes 
  • Research product solutions for customers to solve field-project issues 
  • Hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 8:00am – 5:00pm 


What We Are Looking For 

  • Prior retail, inside sales, or customer service experience - optimally sales with a commission program in addition to base pay
  • Call customers and develop accounts as well as assist with customer service
  • Prior architectural or interior hardware experience is helpful but not required
  • Strong active listening, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Team-oriented, shows initiative 
  • Strong sense of drive and creativity 
  • Experience using Word, Excel, and basic Outlook systems.  AS400 experience is helpful, but is not required
