Key Responsibilities

The Door Department Customer Support Specialist is primarily responsible for providing customer service support to the company by obtaining, analyzing, and verifying the accuracy of order information in a timely manner. This position is also responsible for ensuring that excellent standards of service and high levels of customer satisfaction are maintained. The specialist will report directly to the Door Department Supervisor and Operations Manager.

  • Direct and coordinate all activities involving the sale of custom-made cabinet doors, drawer fronts, drawer boxes and cabinet systems (from ordering to production through billing).
  • Basic knowledge of assembling wood cabinet systems.
  • Review and read shop drawings for construction plans to order cabinet systems.
  • Research, provide and verify dimensions and/or specs to ensure adherence on custom-made orders.
  • Prepare, submit and follow up on estimates ensuring client review for accuracy.
  • Understand and provide information as needed to client’s and sales rep’s by telephone, in written e-mail, or in person.
  • Recommend products to customers, based on customers' needs and interests.
  • Provide customers with product samples.
  • Forward orders to manufacturers; having verified accuracy of billing data and revise any errors via ConEx (Construction Experience Program).
  • Arrange and direct delivery of goods.
  • Ability to multitask and meet changing deadlines.
  • Helpful Background: General Construction knowledge.
  • Helpful Background: Knowledge of computer-aided drafting and related software producing construction documents.
