Our Opportunity:
We are seeking a Operations Director for the U.S.
Reports to: US VP/GM-Dotted line to Corporate Senior Director-Distribution Location: TBD Department: Supply Chain – Distribution Operations
Role Purpose
The Operations Director is accountable for driving the operational and financial performance of Richelieu’s distribution network in the US. This role ensures that our distribution centers operate safely, efficiently, and consistently—supporting customer satisfaction, cost efficiency, and growth.
Rather than directly managing individual distribution centers, this leader influences outcomes through partnership, data-driven insight, and operational discipline—working closely with Distribution Center Managers, regional operations teams, and cross-functional partners in transportation, planning, and sourcing.
50-60% travel but office out of one of our primary locations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Regional Performance Leadership
•Oversee and guide the overall operational and financial performance of distribution centers within the region.
•Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across safety, service, cost, and productivity to ensure alignment with corporate goals.
•Conduct regular business reviews with DC Managers and operations leaders to assess performance and improvement opportunities.
•Support budget development, forecasting, and variance analysis to drive cost discipline and efficiency. - Operational Excellence & Standardization
•Champion consistency in execution of Richelieu’s distribution standards, processes, and metrics across the network.
•Identify and scale best practices between DCs to enhance efficiency, service, and workforce engagement.
•Partner with the Transformation & Excellence team to drive process maturity and continuous improvement initiatives. - Influence, Engagement & Leadership
•Build trusted relationships with DC Managers and site leadership teams—coaching, challenging, and supporting their success.
•Serve as a connector between field operations and corporate supply chain teams, ensuring two-way communication and alignment.
•Support development of emerging operations leaders, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational pride. - Network Coordination & Readiness
•Partner with Supply Chain Planning, Transportation, and Sourcing to ensure regional capacity and capability support business growth.
•Contribute to network design discussions, expansion evaluations, and distribution footprint optimization.
•Lead readiness activities for new DC startups, system upgrades, and major operational transitions.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred) or commensurate experience.
•10+ years of progressive experience in distribution or supply chain operations, including multi-site leadership exposure.
•Proven ability to manage performance and influence outcomes through indirect leadership.
•Strong analytical, financial acumen, and continuous improvement mindset.
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to inspire, align, and drive accountability.
